Purdue senior running back Sean Matti is missing and a search is under way to locate him, a Department of Natural Resources officer told WLFI in West Lafayette, Ind.
According to Matt Tholen, Matti was last seen near Lake Freeman on Sunday.
WLFI reported that DNR officials were contacted at 11:30 Sunday night that Matti was last seen swimming in Lake Freeman around 5 that day.
The report also stated that divers were doing close-to-shore searches by foot until it was too dark Sunday. Also, WLFI reported that officers are going door to door in the search.
Matti joined the team as a walkon in 2007 and did not play in 2008 or 2009. He is listed on the roster on Purdue?s athletic department website.
