Vick yet to make long-term plans with the Eagles

Even though the Eagles slapped QB Michael Vick with the exclusive rights franchise tag to keep him off the free-agent market, the two sides have not discussed a long-term contract.

?We just talked about what can get done this year,? Vick told The Philadelphia Inquirer. ?I think that anything else that happens is solely on me. I think I dictate that situation based on my play and performance and my actions on and off the field. So that ball is in my court.?

Vick, who turns 31 in June, was often spectacular last season. He threw for 21 touchdowns and only six interceptions and rushed for another nine touchdowns after supplanting Kevin Kolb as the starter.

Vick says he will play for the $16 million one-year tender in '11. The status of Kolb, now the backup, is far less certain. Kolb, who turns 27 in August, has asked to be traded but has a cap-friendly contract ($1.5 million) and that makes him even more valuable to the Eagles.

"We'll see down the road here," Eagles coach Andy Reid told The Inquirer. "We would love to have Kevin back, obviously, as our second quarterback."
