Missouri players Kim English and Laurence Bowers said Saturday that they are withdrawing from the NBA Draft and returning for their senior seasons with the Tigers.
English announced his decision via his Twitter account. "Gonna play my senior season and Graduate from The Univ of Missouri, and make it the best season of my 4 in Columbia," English said.
The university announced Bowers' decision earlier Saturday.
"I wanted to get some feedback on what areas of my game I needed to work on and that happened, but the bottom line is that I am looking forward to my senior season at Missouri. I have really enjoyed working with our new coaching staff and as a senior class we have a lot of great opportunities ahead of us," Bowers said in a statement.
English, a guard, averaged 10.0 points and 3.1 rebounds for Mizzou in 34 games (30 starts) last season. Bowers, a forward, averaged 11.6 points and 6.1 rebounds in 34 games (27 starts).
Both players returning to school serves as welcome news for new Missouri coach Frank Haith.
