Redskins' Cooley hurts hand, leaves vs. Eagles

Updated: October 16, 2011, 2:41 PM ET

Redskins tight end Chris Cooley suffered a hand injury and left Washington's game against Philadelphia on Sunday. His return is questionable.

Cooley took a big hit from Eagles cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha in the first quarter.

Cooley went to the locker room after the hit, but returned to the game briefly before leaving the game again. He was then seen on the sidelines without his jersey and shoulder pads.

The Redskins' offensive line was beset by injuries as well.

Left tackle Trent Williams was taken to the locker room with a right ankle injury and left guard Kory Lichtensteiger was carted off the field with a right knee injury. Both players are questionable to return.

Cooley has been bothered by a left knee injury most of the season. He was questionable for Sunday's game against the Eagles after having his knee drained again during the week. He has only seven catches for 66 yards.

Fourth-year player Fred Davis has taken the majority of Washington's snaps at tight end. Davis had 16 catches for 248 yards and one touchdown entering Sunday.
