Chris Cooley blames lost season on lockout

According to Chris Cooley, the lockout slowed his recovery from knee surgery. The Redskins have placed Cooley, their long-time tight end, on injured reserve.

"I feel 100 percent that I am a casualty for the season, of the lockout,?? Cooley told the Washington Post. "I think it was a shame that they didn?t let players who had surgery spend time with the doctors and trainers that they trust on a daily basis.

"I wish I could?ve. I think what I went through in July, I could?ve went through in March.??

However, the players were locked out in March. Cooley did not have access to the Redskins? facilities and training staff.

Any long-term lockout has many victims. Unable to play anymore this season, Cooley feels like one of them.
