LOS ANGELES -- Los Angeles' police chief says there will be zero tolerance on misbehavior at Dodgers games.
A week after a San Francisco Giants fan was critically beaten following the season opener, Chief Charlie Beck, Dodgers owner Frank McCourt and several politicians held a news conference Friday to talk about future security at the stadium.
Beck says short-term security measures include more police officers. The Dodgers will pay for it.
Long-term strategies will look at technology, observation posts, lighting, environmental studies and increased community outreach.
Beck promised a safe, family-friendly, fan-friendly environment at Dodger Stadium beginning with the next game on April 14.
