Wade fine after aggravating ankle injury in All-Star Game

LOS ANGELES -- For the Miami Heat, there was a bit of a scare in the All-Star Game when, in the third quarter of the West's win, guard Dwyane Wade landed awkwardly on the foot of Jazz guard Deron Williams.

East coach Doc Rivers called a timeout, and Wade walked gingerly off the court. He did not return after playing just 20 minutes, registering 14 points, four rebounds and two assists.

After the game, though, Wade said that sitting out was strictly a decision to play it safe and that, if it had been a regular-season game, he would have gotten back on the floor.

"I twisted it a little bit," Wade said. "I twisted it in the Boston game a few days ago, so it was just a precaution."
